Welcome to Stone Path Family Adventures!
We are so excited to announce the launch of our new Travel Blog!
Designed to inspire you to find the hidden gems and awe over the wonder of our beautiful earth. Photographs are Val’s original work and we hope that practical tips and commitment to sustainable travel will help families travel with greater ease and foster a love to protect our natural resources.
We have been very blessed to travel to some extraordinary destinations! We hope to bring you along through lush forests and turquoise coastlines. Crowded sightseeing and typical tours have their place in travel but we hope to offer up some tips for avoiding mass crowds and carving out those special moments that connect you to the terrain and beauty of your surroundings. Travel with family can be stressful… trying to make everyone happy, knowing where to go and how to get there, balancing planning and spontaneity. As the Mom… I am always in charge. This can place added pressure to ensure things go smoothly. Planning is my arsenal but I have also learned that getting the most out of my travel must also involve some letting go, some asking for help and some quiet moments to truly take things in.

When my mom and I first started traveling together I think I was most surprised at how well we got along and honestly how much fun it was! Not every daughter can spend seven plus nights with their mom and not go crazy but when I think back to our first trip it was so magical and an experience that really opened up so much passion and opportunity for us both. I mean the system worked; she crazy planned and I just got to go with the flow while enjoying the excitement of not fully knowing what was in store for us the next day.
One passion that quickly became a daily quest with every adventure was our constant photoshoots where I have to say I never feel more beautiful then when I’m captured behind the most jaw dropping sceneries and of course my moms awesome camera, and keen eye.
Traveling has not only brought my mom and I closer than ever but also allowed us to make connections with our beautiful world whether with the communities or nature and that is truly what I love most. Of course we’ve learned a lot from our trips and as I’ve gotten older it’s important to me to decrease the stresses that have usually fallen on my mom, but traveling has become our biggest way to stay connected as I grow up and I wouldn’t give it up for anything. We’re not perfect, but with no doubt, we can vacation and these trips have been such a blessing- I just can’t wait to see where our minds take us next.Â
